I’ve spent decades traveling to Ireland as a dual citizen and reporter for The Irish Voice, and have forged close bonds with chefs, musicians, and artisans on my Irish culture podcast TAYSHT, so you’ll experience the ‘real’ Ireland that most tourists never see.

Itinerary Summary
Day 1: Edinburgh Excursions
After arrival from the United States, choose from an excursion to St. Andrews, where you will enjoy a day in the medieval kingdom of Fife, visit its fishing villages, the town of St. Andrews, and the picturesque Falkland and its formal royal palace, or a hop on/hop off bus to explore the medieval city of Edinburgh. You’re free to explore and dine in this vibrant city as you wish.
Note: if choosing the St. Andrews option, it is highly advised to fly in the day before to ensure you fully enjoy this daylong experience without rush or jetlag!
Day 2: Edinburgh Tour
Set out on a panoramic tour of Edinburgh, discovering the medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile in the heart of Old Town and the Georgian mansions of the 200-year-old New Town. Return to the city center for a drink with our group, then explore and dine Edinburgh on your own. (B)
Day 3: Port Leith Distillery and Edinburgh Castle
Visit the Port of Leith Distillery, a new distillery in Scotland’s historic center of trade in wine and spirits. Then explore Edinburgh Castle, once a royal fortress and today home to the Scottish Crown Jewels. The rest of the day is free to stroll and dine the city as you wish. (B)
Day 4: Culzean Castle and Ferry to Belfast
Travel to Culzean Castle, a grand, centuries-old castle that includes an apartment given to General Eisenhower as a gesture of thanks for American support of World War II. Tour the beautifully furnished castle and have lunch there before departing for the Cairnryan Ferry to Belfast. Enjoy dinner at the hotel in Belfast that evening. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Nine Glens of Antrim, Giants Causeway, and Crosskeys Inn
Travel along part of the North Glens of Antrim, a scenic region with lovely views of mountains, valleys, and coastline. Discover the Giant’s Causeway, a natural wonder formed over 60 million years ago by cooling lava that has given rise to many legends. Savor lunch with the group in Ireland’s oldest thatched roof pub, the Crosskeys Inn. (B, L)
Day 6: Titanic Belfast, Hillsborough Castle, and Taylors Three Rock
Visit Titanic Belfast to explore the story of the doomed ocean liner, built in the local shipyards in 1912. Tour the stately Hillsborough Castle, the home of the King when he visits Northern Ireland. Travel to Dublin for an Irish night at Taylors Three Rock, where you’ll be entertained by a lively cabaret show during dinner. (B, D)
Day 7: Dublin City Tour & EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum
See Dublin’s grand Georgian buildings and squares, the river Liffey and O’Connell Street during a panoramic tour. Visit EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, an award-winning, high-tech museum that chronicles the journeys made by Irish emigrants around the globe and details the stories of the new lives made by the Irish abroad. Your afternoon and evening are free to explore this vibrant city on your own. (B)
Day 8: Dublin Hop On/Hop Off with Guinness Brewery
Do your own deep dive of Dublin with a hop on/hop off bus excursion with stops at Jameson’s Distillery, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Temple Bar, Phoenix Park, and other city highlights. Tour the Guinness Storehouse Experience with your group. Explore the vibrant Dublin dining scene on your own before meeting your group for a rousing pub crawl to toast your memorable trip! (B)
Day 9: Tour Ends in Dublin
Where did the time go? Depart from Dublin airport. Make sure to get there early to stock up on duty-free souvenirs and spirits!
